Qatayef Asafiri Stuffed with Custard

Put the milk and vanilla on low heat in a saucepan until the milk warms up.

Meanwhile, take a deep mixing bowl, put the egg yolks and sugar in it and beat them until they become a mixture. Then add the starch and beat until completely combined.

Pour the hot milk into the bowl and whisk until well combined.

Return the mixture to the saucepan on low heat and continue whisking until you have a thick custard.

Leave it to cool completely.

Remove the paratha from the freezer to thaw, take a small round cutter and chop the paratha.

Fold each circle from both ends in the form of Qatayef Asafiri.

Put all Qatayef in a preheated oven or in an air fryer and bake them until brown, and after we take them out let them cool completely.

After the ingredients have cooled, we pack the custard into a decorating bag and stuff the Qatayef.

Garnish with chopped strawberries and fine sugar or pistachios.

It can be eaten without or with syrup for more sweetness.
