Tip

Keep that Kunafa fresh and tasty when storing it!

While we all adore Kunafa, storing and reheating while not losing the flavor can prove to be a challenge, and in our never-ending quest of perfecting Kunafa creation, here are some tips we hope you find helpful!

Storing:

1- The Kunafa and its syrup must cool down before it is refrigerated
2- The Kunafa should be transferred to an airtight container before storing it in a refrigerator
3- The syrup must be covered using plastic wrap or kept in an airtight container before storing it
4- The refrigerated Kunafa lasts up to 2-4 days and the syrup can last for weeks and even months when stored in proper conditions. You simply have to reheat it before eating it

Reheating:

1- The leftovers can be transferred into the same cake pan it was prepared in or any suitable flat pan available to reheat it
2- Reheating in an oven or stove is suggested to keep its flavour, texture, and structure in its original form
3- Do not microwave as this makes the Kunafa soft and lose all its crispiness
4- It is not recommended to cover the top while reheating in an oven or stove
5- The Kunafa should be heated for around 5 to 8 minutes at a low flame on a stove and around 360ºF/180ºC for 10 to 15 minutes in an oven
